Maruti Suzuki is planning to introduce a diesel version for its popular product Suzuki SX4.The car is expected early next year and it will have a 1.3 litre diesel engine.The price will be more than the petrol version by around 50,000 INR.1.3 litre engine will have 89 bhp power.UPDATE FROM AUTO EXPO
Suzuki SX4 diesel will have 1.6 litre engine which has maximum power of 101 bhp.SX4 is famous for its design and its high ground clearance.With the introduction of diesel engine,suzuki plans to increase its presence in the mid range segment which already is dominated by Suzuki Swift Dezire.The Fiat based 1.3 litre multijet diesel engine is very famous for its performance and fuel economy and hence the new 1.6 litre multijet engine can also be trusted as its of the same origin from Fiat.
