Maruti Suzuki Plans to launch a new version of existing Versa as Eeco in the Indian market and is expected during the 2010 New Delhi Auto Expo.Eeco comes under Multi Utility Vehicle(MUV) segment and will be a replacement of Suzuki Versa as it fails to attract attention of Indian customers.
New Suzuki Eeco will have a 1200 cc engine with BS IV standards to meet the strict emission rules which will be introduced by 2010 April.There is no official news regarding the launch date,specifications and design but the price is expected to be between 3.3 lakhs and 4.5 lakh rupees.
