Tata introduced a new MPV during the 2010 Delhi Auto Expo.The new vehicle is named Aria and is a 7 seater which will compete against Toyota Innova in the crossover segment.Also,Aria will be a threat to Mahindra Xylo.Tata Aria is built on a new platform developed by Tata motors and will have a 2.2 litre Dicor engine which is seen in Safari.
Tata announces a number of attractive features in Aria like air conditioning vents for all three rows,beige interiors,built-in GPS System,dual air conditioner,automatic climate control,6 air bags,parking sensors,multi function steering wheel,roof mounted gloe boxes,ABS with ESP,alloy wheels,foldable food trays,etc.
The engine option is same as Tata safari which is a 2.2 litre DICOR diesel engine which is powerful enough to give a good acceleration to new Aria and also is fuel efficient.This 2.2 litre engine has a maximum power of 140 bhp.Tata also provides Aria with different safety measures like ABS with ESP,6 SRS Air Bags,4 WD option,traction control,cruise control,etc.
Another exciting feature of Aria is its large space in the interior and the luxurious finish of the interior.Tata provides large space between the seats and hence the passengers will be able to sit comfortably.
Anyway,Tata is all set against Toyota Innova and Aria will hit the Indian roads within few months.The price of Tata Aria is expected between 9 lakhs to 12 lakhs.
