                New swift has both petrol and diesel option.Petrol swift comes with 1197 cc,4 cylinder VVT engine and diesel with 1248 cc,4 cylinder DDIS engine.The average mileage of petrol swift is 18 kmpl and diesel swift is 23kmpl.

By April 2010,BS IV emission standard will be introduced in India and to meet this standard,Maruti Udyog Limited recently announced a new engine-KB SERIES ENGINE.First,Suzuki experimented it in Maruti Suzuki Ritz,then they expanded it to Estilo and now,they announced it in 2010 edition Swift.

KB SERIES ENGINE
K series engine has two main advantages-fuel efficiency and low pollution.The light weight and friction control technology of this engine makes it the most fuel efficient engine in its segment.Maruti Suzuki demands a fuel efficiency of 18 kmpl for the new maruti swift 2010.
